PARTNERING RELATIONSHIP
One of IAVOA’s missions is to
promote the VA industry and provide viable resources for our members. I am
pleased to announce we have developed a partnering relationship with one
of our member VA organizations, The 24 Hour Secretary, that can increase
individual VA exposure and revenue. This groundbreaking relationship will
provide an opportunity for VAs to promote dictation/transcription as a
service and/or expand their current offerings and capabilities to take
full advantage of the newest dictation/transcription technologies. It is
an excellent opportunity to increase your revenue stream and one that
IAVOA endorses and recommends to all that are interested.
Dictation/transcription services
include digital (telephone and any type digital handheld recorders).
Recordings include .wav, .mp3, truespeech, vox, dss (Olympus), MPG, audio,
Quicktime, Realtime, etc. We also transcribe any size cassette tapes and
CD recordings.
VAs can offer
dictation/transcription services within their immediate locale and their
website. The program offers three options, and VAs can pick the one that
most fits their needs.
OPTION #1
A prospect or client contacts a VA
who does not have any dictation/transcription experience and has never
offered the service. The VA obtains the pertinent information and forwards
it to The 24 Hour Secretary. If the 24 Hour Secretary provides the
service, the VA receives a 15% commission from the 1st three
months’ work. The 24 Hour Secretary will forward a copy of the client
billing to the referring VA as proof of invoicing.
**VA establishes a revenue stream
without having to perform any work except making the initial referral.
OPTION #2
A prospect or present client
contacts a VA who performs transcription service. However, the VA is
unable to fulfill the request, due to overload, it is not their area of
expertise (medical, legal, general, interview, insurance, correspondence,
etc.), the job is too large to handle, vacation, etc. The 24 Hour
Secretary provides the transcription service on behalf of the VA. The VA retains
the client as their client. The VA receives a 5% referral fee and $.01 per
line for all work transcribed, for the duration of time that we perform
work for their client. The 24 Hour Secretary becomes the back room
transcription support for the VA who wants to expand their offerings.
If the referring VA wants to
transcribe via our digital dictation/transcription system, they will be
paid the normal transcription rate, plus the referral fee. The 24 Hour
Secretary will provide proofreading services, if requested. Again, the VA
retains this account.
**VA does not have to turn down any
work, has two ways to generate a revenue stream (referral and per line
rate or referral and transcription rate). The 24 Hour Secretary will
proofread transcription. VA has another "set of eyes" reviewing
the job and access to new technologies.
OPTION #3
The VA wants to partner with
The 24 Hour Secretary by directly and jointly promoting
dictation/transcription under the auspices of The 24 Hour Secretary. The
24 Hour Secretary and VA will develop a marketing strategy for their
immediate community and website. The VA receives a 20% commission for the
1st three months of the contract, 15% for the next 3 months,
and 10% thereafter for the duration of the contract. The VA has the option
to transcribe as outlined in Option #2, and receive the $.01 per
line commission for each line transcribed for up to one year. If the VA
wishes to transcribe under the auspices of The 24 Hour Secretary, they
will be required to meet The 24 Hour Secretary’s minimum requirements
and timelines for completion of work.
**The VA establishes a continuous
revenue stream, one where they earn commissions, can transcribe work (if
they desire), participates in developing a viable marketing campaign that
generates exposure for their business and can be expanded to
non-transcription work opportunities with prospects that contact them
about transcription.
We see this as a win-win partnering
option for VAs, The 24 Hour Secretary, and VA clients. The 24 Hour
Secretary has the latest technologies and experience to offer these
services to our industry and members. IAVOA recognizes these capabilities,
technological advantages, and the opportunity it gives our members to
increase revenues. Digital dictation/transcription is The 24 Hour
Secretary’s niche. Now, we can promote it as IAVOA members’ niche,
enhance your offerings, and expand your growth.
